Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

MotorEasy is the data controller for the personal information collected through this website. If you have any questions about how we use your data, please contact us at [email protected].

2. What information we collect

When you purchase a vehicle history report we collect:

• Your name and email address
• Your billing address
• Payment details (processed securely — we do not store card data)
• The vehicle registration number you searched
• A pseudonymous account identifier we use in our analytics in place of any directly identifying information

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Process your order and deliver your report
• Send you your report by email
• Respond to support enquiries
• Send you marketing communications if you have opted in

4. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above.

When you ask us to delete your data (the "right to erasure"), we remove the personal information that identifies you — including your name, email address and postal address — and close your account. Where we are legally required to keep certain records (see "How long we keep your information" below), we anonymise those records instead of deleting them, so they can no longer be linked back to you.

5. How long we keep your information

We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it to provide our service and to meet our legal obligations.

• Order and transaction records are retained for the period required by UK tax and accounting law (currently six years).
• When you request erasure, or where information is no longer needed, we anonymise the personal details held against those records so they remain available for accounting purposes without identifying you.
• Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.

6. Analytics and tracking

Where you have given consent, we use analytics and advertising tools to understand how our site is used and to improve it. Any account reference shared with these tools is a pseudonymous identifier — we do not share your name, email address or the vehicle registration you searched. You can manage your choices at any time through our Cookie Policy.

7. Cookies

We use cookies to improve your experience on this site. For full details see our Cookie Policy.
